There are some people in life who are meant to have a library card, a box trailer with lights that work and a tidy tool shed. "Sal" and I have decided that I'm not one of them.

I've got 2 reefs in the main and a poled out, partially furled #2 headsail doing 7-8 knots. It's very bleak, only shades of grey out here. There was fog last night and visibility was down to about 50 or 100 metres ..... eerie stuff. I had to have Kevin and Frank on deck all night keeping a look out. I've dug out the ski pants, gloves, beanies and thermal gear. All in all, it's not a very attractive look. "Sal" is doing a great job - performing so well. A control line on the MONITOR self-steering vane broke yesterday but I had it all back together in an hour or so.

Best regards,
